Backordered and Obsolete Parts Note

To serve you better in your parts search and purchasing, please note:

1.

Obsolete parts are not available here.

You may have reached this website through a part number search for an item that you have found to be obsolete by ordering through your local dealer.  We do not stock NOS (New Old Stock) or obsolete parts.

For the most part, items specific to models ten years or older are scarce from the manufacturers.  Some common interchangeable items and certain high demand items will still be available from the manufacturers.  For example a clutch lever for a 1980 model bike may fit twelve other models spanning fifteen years or more and may be available.  A fuel tank for the same model will not be available.

While we may not be able to provide a part for your older machine, we can suggest networking among other people rebuilding the same kind of models.  Google search your model and you may find salvage yards or individuals with new or most likely used items available.  The more you network the better if you have items to buy or to sell.

E-Bay is a good source of items for rebuilding older units.  You have to keep your eyes on E-Bay for a long time for a rare item to show up.

Also, here is a short list of vintage resources which you may find helpful.

We love to hear of the vintage restorations going on and are sorry that we cannot help you out with factory parts.

Backordered parts are not available here.

If you have found an item to be backordered through your local dealer, we will have the same result.  We would rather not hold open backorders for simplicity of order tracking.
